Throw The Healthcare Obstructionist Out!

More than two thirds of the American people want a single payer health care system. And if they cant have a single payer system 76% of all Americans want a strong government-run public option on day one (85% of democrats, 71% of independents, and 60% republicans). Basically everyone.

We have the 37th worst quality of healthcare in the developed world. And the most costly. Costing over twice as much as every other county. Conservative estimates are that over 120,000 of you dies each year in America from treatable illness that people in other developed countries don't die from. Rich, middle class, and poor a like. Insured and uninsured. Men, women, children, and babies. This is what being 37th in quality of healthcare means.

I know that many of you are angry and frustrated that REPUBLICANS! In congress are dragging their feet and trying to block TRUE healthcare reform. What republicans want is just a taxpayer bailout of the DISGRACEFUL GREED DRIVEN PRIVATE FOR PROFIT health insurance industry, and the DISGRACEFUL GREED DRIVEN PRIVATE FOR PROFIT healthcare industry. A trillion dollar taxpayer funded private health insurance bailout is all you really get, without a robust government-run public option available on day one. Co-OP's ARE NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR A GOVERNMENT-RUN PUBLIC OPTION. They are a fraud being pushed by the GREED DRIVEN PRIVATE FOR PROFIT health insurance industry that is KILLING YOU!

YOU CANT HAVE AN INSURANCE MANDATE WITHOUT A ROBUST PUBLIC OPTION. MANDATING PRIVATE FOR PROFIT HEALTH INSURANCE AS YOUR ONLY CHOICE WOULD BE A DISASTER. AND UNETHICAL, CORRUPT, AND MORALLY REPUGNANT. AND PROBABLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL AS WELL.

These industries have been slaughtering you and your loved ones like cattle for decades for profit. Including members of congress and their families. These REPUBLICANS are FOOLS!

Republicans and their traitorous allies have been trying to make it look like it's President Obama's fault for the delays, and foot dragging. But I think you all know better than that. President Obama inherited one of the worst government catastrophes in American history from these REPUBLICANS! And President Obama has done a brilliant job of turning things around, and working his heart out for all of us.

But Republicans think you are just a bunch of stupid, idiot, cash cows with short memories. Just like they did under the Bush administration when they helped Bush and Cheney rape America and the rest of the World.

But you don't have to put up with that. And this is what you can do. The Republicans below will be up for reelection on November 2, 2010. Just a little over 13 months from now. And many of you will be able to vote early. So pick some names and tell their voters that their representatives (by name) are obstructing TRUE healthcare reform. And are sellouts to the insurance and medical lobbyist.

Ask them to contact their representatives and tell them that they are going to work to throw them out of office on November 2, 2010, if not before by impeachment, or recall elections. Doing this will give you something more to do to make things better in America. And it will make you feel better too.

There are many resources on the internet that can help you find people to call and contact. For example, many social networking sites can be searched by state, city, or University. Be inventive and creative. I can think of many ways to do this. But be nice. These are your neighbors. And most will want to help.

I know there are a few democrats that have been trying to obstruct TRUE healthcare reform too. But the main problem is the Bush Republicans. Removing them is the best thing tactically to do. On the other hand. If you can easily replace a democrat obstructionist with a supportive democrat, DO IT!

You have been AMAZING!!! people. Don't loose heart. You knew it wasn't going to be easy saving the World. :-)

God Bless You

Is it possible that the reason President Obama says that health care reform cannot and must not wait another year is that more Americans are proactively becoming responsible for themselves. I recently read 20% of Americans under age 65 now have health savings accounts. If enough people experience the benefit of independent provision for themselves, it will take another manipulative tool from the hands of narrow-minded oligarchs.

Here’s Obama’s dilemma in a nutshell (READ VERY CAREFULLY AND DIGEST):

If BHO shows his original long form birth certificate, indeed showing he was born in Hawaii, it will also show his father was American citizen, Frank Marshall Davis, not the Kenyan/British citizen, Barack Obama Sr. While that would allow Barack Jr. to be POTUS eligible as BOTH a “citizen”/“native born citizen” AND an Article 2 “natural born citizen” — that is, born to two American citizens on American soil — it would simultaneously show he is a fraud hiding his real father — an unacceptable political debacle.

If, on the other hand, BHO keeps hiding his original long form birth certificate — while simply repeating, without showing, he was born in Hawaii — he can still CLAIM BOTH he was born in Hawaii AND his father was the Kenyan/British Barack Obama Sr. This would enable Barack Jr. to claim he’s a “citizen”/“native born citizen” but it would mean (if a federal court would ever get around to declaring and thus far no one has standing to bring the suit) that he’s NOT an Article 2 “natural born citizen” and thus not eligible to be POTUS — a legal/constitutional debacle since all acts under an illegal POTUS are void.

So it seems, BHO has elected option one until forced to go option two because for now it looks like no federal court will ever find a plaintiff with standing. (Of course, there’s the additional issue of BHO losing American citizen status if/when he became an Indonesian citizen — that is, IF he returned and was naturalized he would be a legal citizen, but would lose both native and natural born status, and, IF he returned and was not naturalized, he would be an illegal immigrant unlawfully in this country — but we’ll leave that for another day.)

Rest in peace good friend. We've never actually met but I feel as if I have known you for the longest of time. I grew up with you, from early childhood (the television program "The Twentieth Century") through the upheavels of the sixties and seventies and into your later years. Always the consumate reporter, always the solid foundation on which to gather information , you continually secured our household's trust and approval. My own father said "Walter knows what he is talking about so pay good attention to him." How correct he was!! Two moments help define my growing years and you were there for both. President Kennedy's assasination and the moon landing are memories that you covered in your own words and have stayed with me all these years. Thank you for the richness of your journalism and the devotion you displayed to your craft. God blesss you Mr. Walter Cronkite, you are loved, respected and held close to our hearts.

Yea. Because...
This bill is a step in the right direction. Our dependence on foreign oil and lack of investment in renewable energies is crippling our national security, putting us behind on an important new industry (renewable energies), and contributing to climate change.

1) Many oil-rich nations are politically at odds with the U.S. (Venezuela, Russia, Iran, etc). Our continued dependence on oil supports these regimes and their human rights abuses, clampdowns on democracy, etc.

2) Green technology is exploding, and we are falling behind. Many estimates show we're at peak oil production right now. Shouldn't we ween ourselves off of oil? The sooner we invest in green technology, the bigger advantage we'll have in the world market. We're already behind in wind turbines and solar panels (Europe and Japan have the jump on us). Will it be expensive? Initially. But the opportunity cost of investing now versus waiting to the last minute is much lower.

3) Climate change. Scientific consensus agrees on climate change. Species ranges are shifting, ocean chemistry is changing, and the effects are increasing variability. The rate of change is unprecedented in recent history, and it's our best interest to exercise the precautionary principle (better safe than sorry). 4 scenarios: If we act on climate change and it is actually happening, we are doing the right thing. If we act and climate change isn't happening, at least we've addressed points 1 & 2. If we do nothing and climate change is not happening, we're still dependent on oil and we've failed to capitalize on a new industry. If we do nothing and the climate is changing...

While the bill is not perfect, the reasons for supporting this bill are numerous. The reasons against the bill are chiefly the costs. This is short-sighted thinking- the long-term costs of business-as-usual are immense. We need to push green technology.
